Ever since I can remember I’ve loved collecting things. Whether it was heart shaped rocks found along the walk to school, remnants of fabric left over from my mother’s sewing basket, or tattered bits of paper hidden at the bottom of shopping bags, I was always entranced by the magical quality of beautiful little cast-offs.
As I got older, that love never really left me. In school I studied art, but after college the “real world” came calling and I moved into sales. Years later when I became a stay-at-home mom to triplets I finally found my way back into creating. Between feedings and during nap times I worked to turn my collections into one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Weekends were spent digging for treasures at garage and estate sales while my wonderful husband Kevin spent time with the kids.
Now that my kids are older I can spend more time in my studio, preparing tutorials for workshops or publications, and sharing my projects with the world. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve got planned for the future!
